Interdisciplinary Studies

Going boldly where no field of study has gone before.

Many Plans of Concentration were by their nature interdisciplinary, combining dance with politics, biology with visual arts, and so on. But for students who wanted to chart their very own course, working beyond the boundaries of fields of study identified with Marlboro faculty, interdisciplinary studies provided a venue for that exploration. Students worked with faculty sponsors whose fields overlapped with their chosen subject to identify key scholars and theories in their area that supported their individual academic enterprise.
