Longtime trustee Ted Wendell is well known to the Marlboro College community, from his first experiences at the college as a math teacher to his recent honorary degree received May 2015. He also had a long and illustrious career as an investment portfolio manager, and one of his longest-standing clients, Harbor Capital Advisors, has made a generous donation of $15,000 to Marlboro in his honor.
“During my working career we were blessed to have a very loyal client base and the Harbor International Fund was our largest,” said Ted, who recently retired from Northern Cross LLC, the investment firm he founded. “I am deeply honored that they would make this gift to Marlboro in my name.”
“Ted’s wisdom and good nature are remembered by all of us associated with the Harbor International Fund,” said David Van Hooser, chairman and CEO of the Chicago-based Harbor Capital Advisors. “We know Marlboro College has a special place in Ted’s heart, and we are pleased to honor his legacy at the college through this gift in his name.”
