Phil Steckler makes his mark as a business broker

“I stay in the business because I get a great deal of satisfaction out of helping people,” said trustee Philip Steckler, who was featured in an article in the May issue of Vermont Business Magazine. The vice president and affiliate manager of Country Business, Inc. in Brattleboro, Phil was interviewed about the role of CBI as the “Northeast’s only regional business broker.” “There aren’t many people in business brokerage…that are really good at it, who can look at all the angles and come up with something that makes sense for everybody.”

Phil must be doing something right, because he was also the May cover story in The Business Journal of Greater Keene, Brattleboro, and Peterborough. An article titled “Ready to cash in your chips? Hold up: There’s a lot to consider before selling your business,” touts Phil’s 40 years of experience and expertise in helping clients sell their businesses. “What’s the difference between a good business broker and one who’s just out there?” Phil said in the VBM article. “I think caring is such an important part of the success of this business.”
