Richard Glejzer Rises to New Role

Building on seven years of ably serving Marlboro College as dean of faculty, in June Richard Glejzer was also appointed as college provost. In addition to his dean responsibilities of overseeing the academic program, graduate programs, student life, information technology, and non-degree programs, Richard’s new role will free up President Kevin to be more active off campus with college supporters.

“As dean I have enjoyed engaging with faculty, staff, and students on defining and meeting Marlboro’s academic goals, and that will continue,” said Richard, who started in at Marlboro in July 2010. “This new role is a strategic decision by the trustees to give me more day-to-day responsibility on campus, allowing Kevin to be more engaged externally.”

“Richard has shown he can be relied upon to keep things running smoothly on campus, and to listen and respond to diverse constituents who are all passionate about Marlboro,” said Kevin. “In this time of uncertainty among small, liberal arts colleges, his presence allows me to engage our many friends around the country, sharing a promising vision of Marlboro’s newest programs and abiding strengths.”
