Biology is a large and diverse field. Marlboro’s curriculum explored levels of biological organization ranging from the molecular to entire ecosystems.

Many of Marlboro’s courses explored biology through an ecological and evolutionary lens. Faculty emphasized science as a way of knowing and supported students in developing an understanding of life on Earth through observation and experimentation. Faculty also understood the necessity, in today’s world, to consider the implications of climate change and loss of biodiversity throughout the curriculum.
