Marlboro College received high marks from graduate students contributing to Business as UNusual, Net Impact’s social and environmental impact guide to graduate programs. Net Impact is a community of more than 50,000 student and professional leaders creating positive social and environmental change in the workplace and the world. Their guide to graduate programs was published in time for their annual conference, titled Breaking Boundaries, in Minneapolis on November 6 through 8.
“Marlboro students believe that earning a master’s degree is a privilege and that, when they graduate, they have a responsibility to the earth and the people in it,” says Business as UNusual. The graduate program was ranked eighth for social impact, based on the perspectives of more than 3,300 students at nearly 100 programs, and 11th for environmental sustainability. “Marlboro defines sustainability as flourishing,” says the guide. “The principles of a flourishing world are incorporated into every course.
